Step 6 - Medical Reports

It’s important that an appropriate independent expert is instructed to medically examine you and provide a medical opinion. We will arrange this for you. The expert will have access to all medical records including pre-accident records. Depending on the severity of the injury more than one expert may be required.

Once the medical evidence has been accepted by you, we will send the report to the opposition and request their offers.

The opposition then has 21 days to make their offer of compensation.

Should no offers be forthcoming legal proceedings will commence. At this stage the court sets a timetable for the mutual exchange of documentation that we wish to rely upon. For instance, the exchange of witness and medical evidence. The court will also provide an estimated date for the trial, which will be dependant on the complexity of the case.

Throughout the full process openness and co-operation between the parties is required.
